Made another wood egg using the 4th axis on my CNC mill. Turned out nicely. With the Matlab generated G-code and higher HP motor, it took a fraction of the machine time required previously. The profile of the shape was generated with 4 circular arcs, shown here. The shape is scaled in the x and z directions to fit the size of the stock that I'm working with. I've made a couple of these from a large cedar limb. The eggs are 4" in diameter and range from 4.5" to 6" in length.

VC activity is heating up. The investors are arm wrestling over control issues. This has slowed down the start, but for the moment, I'm happy waiting.
